Dowd Properties is following public health guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as state and local officials. We will follow their direction as it is made available.

We are scheduling maintenance tasks at this time. Our maintenance techs will be wearing gloves and masks. If ANYONE in your home/apt is not feeling well, please let us know BEFORE we show up and we will re-schedule your maintenance item until everyone is feeling better.

REMINDER: Rent payments may still be made by using your online portal at www.dowdpro.com. If you need your password reset and sent to you, please email us at info@dowdpro.com
You may also mail rent payments to our office as we will be checking mail daily. We will also be checking our drop box out front daily.
If you are UNABLE to pay your rent on time, please email us as to the details why and we will work with tenants on an individual basis. We will WAIVE late fees for those who call us due to COVID-19.

We will be closing our offices to the public in compliance with the Illinois Shelter In Place order. You may still reach us via email at info@dowdpro.com for essential services. For emergency maintenance issues only, please continue to call our office and press 1. Please stay safe as we work through this unprecedented issue.

In following the Federal and State guidelines for "Social Distancing", our maintenance staff will only complete non-emergency repairs in units if no one is present. This is to help prevent the person to person spread of COVID-19. Emergency repairs will still be done with people present if that is the only option. We are taking the Federal and State guidelines and recommendations very seriously and nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our team members and tenants.

In order to protect our staff and the public, we will only be showing vacant properties at this time. Units that are occupied can be seen online, through our posted photos.

While our office will remain operational during business hours to accept phone calls, the exterior office door will be locked to minimize contact and help protect everyone. Please drop any correspondence or rent into our mailbox outside the front office door. It will be collected throughout the day.

We will continue showings and tenant repairs, however, we have instituted a no-handshake policy until further notice in an effort to limit physical contact.

If a resident of a building tests positive for COVID-19 and we are notified, communication will be sent to all tenants in the building in which that resident resides. Personal information including name and unit number will not be disclosed, but as a public health advisory we will pass along the information of a confirmed positive test in your building.
